• What is a thermoelectric cooler?
  Thermoelectric coolers are ideal for transporting food – there’s no space wasted and the contents are kept dry. Our coolers plug into the 12V outlet in the car; with an adaptor, they also work on 110 V mains (household) electricity. The cooler cools down to a max of 15-20°C below the ambient (room) temperature.
• Where can I buy a Mobicool cooler?
  Mobicool products are available at your local Canadian Tire store. Several models are available – from 8 Liters to 45 Liter. To view all models visit the Canadian Tire website. http://www.canadiantire.ca
• What level of cooling performance can I expect?
  A Mobicool cooler can cool down to a max of 15-20°C below the ambient (room) temperature. Therefore, at a temperature of around 21-25°C, the cooler will be able to cool down to around 5-9°C – the same temperature as a typical household fridge.
• How can I improve the performance of my cooler in the car?
  We recommend loading pre-cooled food or drinks into the cooler. You can also pre-cool it at home before transferring the cooler to your vehicle. Some models come with a 110V adaptor. Alternatively, a universal adaptor is available from your local dealer.
• I use my cooler indoors with an adaptor (110V). How can I improve performance?

  The conditions listed below will ensure your cooler delivers top performance:

  • The room temperature does not exceed 25°C.
  • Avoid direct sunlight on the cooler, especially the vent system.
  • Keep the cooler away from heating systems, etc.
• Can I put ice in my cooler?
  Yes, you can, as long as the ice cubes are in a sealed container. It may speed up the cooling process.
• My cooler gets so cold it actually freezes the items inside. What can I do?
  The cooler continues to cool until it reaches the lowest possible temperature – max 20°C below the ambient room temperature. We suggest you put more food/ drink in the cooler.
• How much power does my cooler consume?
  Most thermoelectric coolers consume 4 amps at 12 volts, which corresponds to approximately 48W. On household current, the power consumption is roughly 1 amp at 110V.
• If my vehicle’s engine is turned off, how long can I safely leave the cooler plugged into the 12V outlet without draining the battery?

  Under ideal conditions, the cooler can run for several hours. However, other factors can potentially cause the battery to drain much faster – for example, if other accessories (phone, laptop) are plugged in at the same time. We recommend you leave the cooler plugged in for a maximum of 1-2 hours.

  Mobicool W35 has a “battery saver” function, which prevents the car battery from being completely drained. The cooler switches off automatically, leaving enough power to start the car.

• Can the cooler be put in the trunk of my car?
  No. To ensure proper air circulation, we suggest you place the cooler on the back seat, or in the back of an SUV. Confined spaces can cause it to overheat. And make sure the vents are not covered.
